…Adonijah’s guests were afraid, and they all got up and left, each going his own way.

End of the party… 😒 As for me, I will cling to the joy that endures (John 16:20-22).

King Solomon was told that Adonijah was afraid of him and that he was holding on to the corners of the altar and had said, “First, I want King Solomon to swear to me that he will not have me put to death.”

David handed them over to the people of Gibeon, who hanged them on the mountain before the Lord—and all seven of them died together. It was late in the spring, at the beginning of the barley harvest, when they were put to death.
