The Lord sent the prophet Nathan to David.
It was out of mercy that the Lord sent Nathan to David, much as when he sent an angel to Balaam (Numbers 22:31-35). David captured the gold shields carried by Hadadezer’s officials and took them to Jerusalem. He also took a great quantity of bronze from Betah and Berothai, cities ruled by Hadadezer.
Was this part of what David reserved for Solomon (1 Chronicles 29:1-5)?
