Job 9 – 10

[Job 1b]

(text)

God is so wise and powerful;
    no one can stand up against him.

Sometimes it’s a lesson that has to be learned (Genesis 3:1-7; Revelation 20:10). 😁

God hung the stars in the sky—the Dipper,
    Orion, the Pleiades, and the stars of the south.

I believe it’s here where a scribe translated “Pleiades” into the Greek reference for this constellation – no doubt so that his audience could better understand.

If I smile and try to forget my pain,
    all my suffering comes back to haunt me…

We absolutely can not wish our pain away.

But there is no one to step between us—
    no one to judge both God and me.

The brilliance of God’s plan (1 Corinthiens 6:3).

Your hands formed and shaped me…
Remember that you made me from clay…
    are you going to crush me back to dust?
You gave my father strength to beget me;
    you made me grow in my mother’s womb.
You formed my body with bones and sinews
    and covered the bones with muscles and skin.
You have given me life and constant love,
    and your care has kept me alive.

Thank you for this, Heavenly Father, and for the wonderful parents you gave me. Interesting this notion of a father’s strength being linked to his children (Genesis 49:3).

Why, God, did you let me be born?

The purpose of our lives. Why did you create me, God? For what purpose?

I am going soon… to a land that is dark and gloomy,
    a land of darkness, shadows, and confusion,
    where the light itself is darkness.

That is the image we have of hades. Thank you, Lord, that one day there will be only light (Revelation 22:5)! Please use my life before then!
