Noah

What changed during the Great Flood?

How is it that EVERYONE has gotten “evolution” all wrong?

When the Lord saw how wicked everyone on earth was and how evil their thoughts were all the time, he was sorry that he had ever made them and put them on the earth. He was so filled with regret that he said, “I will wipe out these people I have created, and also the animals and the birds, because I am sorry that I made any of them.” But the Lord was pleased with Noah.

(Genesis 6:6-8)

[Yes, I do realize Noah came before Job, but the rest of what follows here wouldn’t make much sense if the articles were put in the order in which they occurred!]

You no doubt know the rest of the story. God commanded Noah to build an ark, take in all the animals two by two after which he flooded the earth which, in turn, wiped out all life with the exception of those in the ark. God’s judgment and salvation. But what gives? Wickedness continues to prevail! “The Great Flood changed nothing then!”, we might well say. Ah, but there, we would be wrong. The Great Flood changed everything.

Ever since God created the world, his invisible qualities, both his eternal power and his divine nature, have been clearly seen; they are perceived in the things that God has made.

(Romans 1:20)

What do we see when we look at Creation? The earth’s mountains, forests, lakes and streams for example all reflect the handiwork of a Creator God – not to mention the spectacular images we’ve seen out in the cosmos from the Hubble and now James Webb Space Telescopes.

Half the picture! What do we see when we look at nature? We’re just used to it. What do we call it? Survival of the fittest? The law of the jungle? One animal killing another – one creature taking everything from another (for life is everything in this “Matrix”!) – and that so it can live another day. It is pure, unadulterated exploitation. Nature itself incarnates the self-paradigm of the Creature. And isn’t that what you would expect in this fallen world – in the dominion of Satan?

For creation was condemned to lose its purpose, not of its own will, but because God willed it to be so. Yet there was the hope that creation itself would one day be set free from its slavery…

(Romans 8:20-21)

It stands to reason then, that in the Kingdom of God, this should not be the case, right? And what do we read regarding the 1000-year reign of the Messiah after his return to earth?

Wolves and sheep will live together in peace, and leopards will lie down with young goats. Calves and lion cubs will feed together, and little children will take care of them. Cows and bears will eat together, and their calves and cubs will lie down in peace. Lions will eat straw as cattle do.

(Isaiah 11:6-7)

How about before the flood?

I have provided all kinds of grain and all kinds of fruit for you to eat; but for all the wild animals and for all the birds I have provided grass and leafy plants for food”—and it was done.

(Genesis 1:29-30)

All-inclusive! Not some animals will eat plants and others will eat other animals! So, when did it change?

God blessed Noah and his sons and said, “…All the animals, birds, and fish will live in fear of you. They are all placed under your power. Now you can eat them, as well as green plants; I give them all to you for food.

(Genesis 9:1-3)

What was that “everything” that changed during the Flood? The very nature of nature itself! As the animals filed out of the Ark, how horrified Noah must have been seeing how deformed many had become – now fully equipped to kill.

A side note… (spoiler alert!)

…the Devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had already been thrown; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

 (Revelation 20:10)

Burned alive forever and ever: that is Satan’s destiny. So, to say that he has skin in the game would be a considerable understatement. With those kinds of stakes, he’s going to insist on a level playing field. And that is exactly what we have…

  • Creation and Nature reflect two different realities – two different paradigms.
  • Day verses night.
  • For any so called “proof” found to support the God paradigm, there will always be an equally convincing “proof” backing the Satan paradigm.
  • That is just how this “Matrix” was created.

So with that in mind, what then is to be said about the origin of man – of life in general? If there can only be one explanation – that contained in revelation – The Game would be hopelessly skewed in favor of the God paradigm. So how to level it? Evolution. I propose to you that when nature was reset during the Great Flood, so also what was to be found in the earth. Dinosaur remains in the ground? They were never anything other than bones – put there to provide an alternate explanation, to level the playing field.

That is pure speculation on my part! Revealed truth does not state that nor was I there! I do believe, however, that that is a reasonable inference to make consistent within the overall paradigm. Occam’s razor.
